Join Pack 807

Pack 807 is a volunteer-run Cub Scout pack serving boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade in Frisco, Texas, including families from the Sparks and Nichols Elementary communities and the surrounding area.

Cub Scouting gives families opportunities to build character, confidence, friendships, fitness, citizenship, and leadership through hands-on Adventures, outdoor activities, service, and fun.

How Cub Scouting Is Organized

Each Scout belongs to a den, a small group of Scouts in the same grade. Dens complete age-appropriate Adventures together. All of Pack 807's dens and their families come together for Pack Parties, recognition, service projects, campouts, and other Pack activities.

Meetings and Activities

Pack 807 generally offers a Den Adventure and a Pack activity each month, along with additional outdoor, service, district, and summertime opportunities. Dates and locations vary, so check the Pack 807 events calendar for the current schedule.

A Family Program

Families are encouraged to participate in Pack activities and help their Scouts along the way. Pack 807 depends on parent and guardian volunteers to lead dens, organize activities, help with setup and meals, serve on the Pack committee, and share many smaller jobs.

Lions and Tigers participate with an adult partner. Older Scouts are increasingly independent, but Pack 807 activities are not drop-off programs; a responsible adult should remain present unless Pack leadership communicates a different arrangement.

What Does Cub Scouting Cost?

The figures below are reference costs from the 2025–26 program year. They are included to help families understand the approximate overall cost of Cub Scouting; fees and prices can change from year to year.

Scouting America Membership

• One-time new member fee: $25
• Annual registration: $85 per year
• Optional Scout Life magazine: $15 per year

Pack 807 Dues

• Kindergarten through fourth grade: $175 per year
• Fifth grade: $100 per year

Pack dues include a Pack 807 activity shirt and help cover activities and operating costs such as facility rentals, storage, campouts, Pinewood Derby, supplies, and volunteer registrations.

Uniform and Handbook

• Uniform shirt, belt, and hat: approximately $71
• Neckerchief and slide: approximately $21
• Handbook: approximately $13 or $24, depending on format

These equipment prices were recorded in August 2025. Only hats and handbooks are normally purchased each year. Pack 807 does not require the official uniform pants or shorts; families may use their own jeans or shorts with belt loops.

Some optional camps, overnighters, or special activities may have separate fees.

Uniform and Handbook

Pack 807 generally wears the blue Cub Scout uniform for indoor Den Adventures and Pack Parties. Outdoor and extracurricular Pack activities generally use the yellow Pack 807 activity shirt. Event listings identify any different expectation.

Safety and Training

Youth safety is fundamental to the Scouting program. Registered leaders complete required Youth Protection training, and activities follow Scouting America safety policies. Families are encouraged to understand these protections and speak with Pack leadership whenever they have a question.

Can girls join?

Yes. Pack 807 welcomes boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Do parents need Scouting experience?

No. Most Pack volunteers start as parents who are willing to help. Training, handbooks, activity plans, and experienced leaders provide support.

Does every family need to volunteer?

Family participation is an important part of Cub Scouting. Not every volunteer job requires a formal position or a large time commitment; many activities succeed because several families each take one manageable task.
